What is the Power Platform?
Power Platform is a collection of low-code/no-code tools by Microsoft that enables users to create business solutions and automate processes using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. It empowers individuals and organizations to easily build custom applications and automate workflows without the need for extensive coding knowledge.
The four primary components of Power Platform are:
- Power Virtual Agents are artificially intelligent virtual bots.
- Power BI is a business analytics application.
- Power Apps is a low-code app development platform.
- Power Automate (previously known as Flow) provides process automation.
Power Platform offers around 275 dedicated data connectors to seamlessly connect data, which can be further enriched with AI capabilities. The data is stored in Microsoft Dataverse, formerly known as the Common Data Service, and is available to all Microsoft programs. The centralized storage allows easy access to the data for any application, making data management more efficient.
Power Apps
Power Apps is a no-code/low-code development platform by Microsoft. It offers pre-built templates, data connectors, and an AI Builder to create custom applications with ease. Users can create web and mobile apps that work on various platforms. It helps streamline business processes and improves productivity.
